Roles and Permissions
What owners, admins and viewers can do in Prism, and how project modules and page access decide which pages each member sees.

Every member of a Prism project has a role. The role decides what they can do. Separately, the project's modules and any page restrictions decide which report pages they can see.
The three roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an admin can do, plus change a member's role and remove admins. The owner is the person who owns the project. |
| Admin | Invite members, remove viewers and open the Client panel (Team, Project settings, Keyword Setting). Sees the Prism panel reports. |
| Viewer | Sees the Prism panel reports only. Cannot open the Client panel. |
When you invite someone, you can choose Admin or Viewer. See Team members.

Which pages a member sees
Two things decide which report pages appear for a member:
- The project's modules. A project has modules turned on, such as Google, Bing, Play Store, App Store, YouTube, LLM Tool and Analytics GA/GSC. Pages for modules that are off do not appear.
- Page access. An admin can limit one member to some pages with Manage page access on the Team screen.
So a member sees the modules turned on for the project, minus any pages restricted for them. Dashboard and Integrations are always available.
Messages you may see

Tips
- Keep the number of admins small. Give Viewer to people who only read reports.
- If a teammate cannot find a report, check both their role and their page access.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an admin and a viewer?
A viewer can only see the reports in the Prism panel. An admin can also open the Client panel, invite members and remove viewers.
Who can change a member's role?
Only the project owner. The owner can also remove admins.
Why do I see This module isn't available?
The page is not turned on for the selected project, or your admin has restricted your page access. Contact your administrator if you need it.
