What is it?
The Platforms screen shows how visible your brand is on each AI platform. AI Visibility is the LLM Tool in your Prism sidebar. Prism can track six platforms: ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude and AI Overview.
Why use it?
- To find the platform where you do best, and the one where you do worst.
- To see if your visibility on a platform is rising or falling.
- To decide where to put your content effort first.
Before you start
Your LLM project must track the platforms you want to compare. The platform list is chosen in Project settings on the LLM Tool tab.
How to use it
Open Platforms
In the sidebar, open LLM Tool, then click Platforms.
Pick a project and date
Use the filter bar. Only dates with data can be picked in Select Date.
Read the cards
Look at Best Platform and Weakest Platform first.
Check the table
Hover over a column header to see what it means. Look at Status and Direction together.
Understanding the screen
Best and weakest platform cards
Best Platform and Weakest Platform each show the platform name and a line like 42% Visibility · 120 Mentions.
Platform Visibility Trends
A line chart of your visibility on each platform over the dates that have data.
Platform Performance Table
| Column | Hover text |
|---|---|
| Platform | AI Models — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude etc. |
| Visibility | % of prompts where your brand appeared. |
| Mentions | Total brand mentions across prompts. |
| Status | Performance level relative to your best platform. |
| Direction | Trend vs average visibility. |
Understanding the data
Platform status
How a platform performs compared with your best platform: Strong (75% or more of the best), Growing (45% or more), Average (20% or more), otherwise Weak.
Appears in: LLM Tool → Platforms
Status compares each platform's visibility with your best platform's visibility:
| Status | Rule |
|---|---|
| Strong | At least 75% of the best platform |
| Growing | At least 45% of the best platform |
| Average | At least 20% of the best platform |
| Weak | Below 20% of the best platform |
Direction shows Up, Down or Flat against average visibility.
A mention is each time an answer names your brand.
Example
For example, your best platform is Perplexity at 60% visibility. ChatGPT has 48%, which is 80% of 60%, so it is Strong. Gemini has 30%, which is 50% of 60%, so it is Growing. Claude has 9%, which is 15% of 60%, so it is Weak. Claude is where you have the most room to grow.
Tips
- A Weak status with Up direction is a good sign. Keep going.
- A Strong status with Down direction needs a look. Open Responses and filter by that platform.
- Use the All Platforms filter to remove platforms you do not care about.
Common issues
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| No platform data for the selected date/filters. | Pick another date, or click Reset. |
| No trend data available | The chart needs data from more than one date. |
Frequently asked questions
What does the Status column mean?
It compares each platform with your best platform. Strong is at least 75% of the best platform's visibility, Growing at least 45%, Average at least 20%, and anything lower is Weak.
Why does my best platform show Strong even with low visibility?
Status is relative. Your best platform is the benchmark, so it is always the top of the scale, even if its visibility is low.
Which platforms does Prism track?
ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude and AI Overview. Your project tracks the platforms chosen in its LLM Tool settings.
