Beginner Guide

New to Prism? Follow four simple steps to create your account, set up a project, connect your data and read your first report.

7 articles

Welcome to Prism. This guide is for you if you have never used Prism before. You do not need to be an SEO expert. Each step is short, and each one links to a page with the full details.

Prism brings your search data into one place. It shows your Google Search Console clicks next to your Google Analytics 4 sessions. It can also track your rankings and how AI assistants talk about your brand. To see any of this, you need four things in place.

Step 1: Create your account

First, sign up with your name, email address and a password of at least 8 characters. After you sign up, Prism takes you back to the sign-in page. Sign in with the email and password you just chose.

Read Create your account for every field and message on the sign-up and sign-in screens.

Step 2: Set up a project

A project is the workspace for one website or brand. Your admin links your account to a project. Inside it, admins create tracking projects for each channel, such as Google, Bing, YouTube or the LLM Tool. You do this in the Client panel, under Workspace → Project settings.

Read Set up a project to learn the real steps, the fields for each channel and the Excel file format for keywords and prompts.

Step 3: Connect your data

Next, connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4. Prism only asks Google for read-only access. It cannot change anything in your Google accounts. On the first connection, Prism loads up to 180 days of history. After that, it syncs every day.

Read Connect your data for a quick walk-through. For more detail, see the Integrations guides.

Step 4: Take your first steps

Now open your reports. Start with the Analytics (GA4 + GSC) screen to see your sessions, clicks and conversions together. Then try Advanced Analytics for deeper reports.

Read Your first steps in Prism for a short tour of what to look at first. When you want to find your way around the sidebar, read Navigating Prism.
