Troubleshooting

Feature Issues

Fix messages on Advanced Analytics, Category Builder, rank tracking, the LLM Tool, file uploads and PDF exports.

7 min read Updated

Use this page when a screen or tool shows a message instead of your data. Each heading is the message you see.

"This module isn't available"

The page says "This module isn't available" and "This page isn't included for the selected project. Contact your administrator if you need access."

Why it happens: The module is not enabled for this project, or an admin has limited your page access. Members only see the modules enabled for the project, such as Google, Bing, Play Store, App Store, YouTube, LLM Tool and Analytics GA/GSC.

How to fix it:

  1. Check that the right project is selected in Current Project.
  2. Ask your project admin to enable the module, or to change your access with Manage page access.

What to check next: the Dashboard and Integrations are always available. See Roles and permissions.

"No … projects linked to this account yet"

You may see:

ScreenMessage
LLM Tool"No LLM projects linked to this account yet" / "Link an LLM project to this master project in Project Settings to see reporting here."
Google SERP"No Google projects linked to this account yet" / "Link a Google SERP project to this master project in Project Settings to see reporting here."
Bing Rankings"No Bing projects yet" / "Add a Bing tracking project to see ranking reporting here."
Google Play Store"No Play Store projects yet"
Apple App Store"No App Store projects yet"
YouTube Ranking"No YouTube projects yet" / "Add a YouTube tracking project to see ranking reporting here."
Unified Dashboard"No … project connected for this master project."

Why it happens: No tracking project for this channel is set up under your project.

How to fix it:

  1. Ask a project admin or owner to open the Client panel.
  2. Go to WorkspaceProject settings, open the channel tab and click + Create Project.
  3. Fill in the form, add a keywords or prompts Excel file, and click Save changes.

What to check next: if the tab is missing, you may see "No channels are enabled for this project." See Project settings.

"Select an LLM project to view …"

Why it happens: No LLM project is picked in the filter bar.

How to fix it:

  1. Open the Project dropdown in the filter bar.
  2. Pick an LLM project.

What to check next: if the list is empty, see the section above.

LLM Tool dates I cannot pick ("No data for this date")

Why it happens: On the LLM Tool screens, Select Date only lets you pick dates with data. Other dates show the tooltip "No data for this date". LLM projects refresh on the frequency set for the tracking project, such as weekly.

How to fix it:

  1. Pick a date that is not greyed out.
  2. Click Reset if your filters are hiding data.

What to check next: if you see "No prompts found for this date.", try another date or clear your platform and category filters.

"Connect GA4 or Search Console"

The Advanced Analytics screen says "Connect GA4 or Search Console" and "Advanced Analytics needs at least one connected property to pull URL data from." On the Analytics screen, the Advanced Analytics button may be greyed out with "Connect Google Analytics or Search Console first".

Why it happens: Neither Google source is connected for this project.

How to fix it:

  1. Click Go to Integrations.
  2. Connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 or both.

What to check next: see Connection issues if the connection fails.

"No Category Builder rules yet"

The full message is "No Category Builder rules yet — every URL below is grouped as Uncategorized until you add rules to split them into categories."

Why it happens: You have not told Prism how to group your URLs into categories.

How to fix it:

  1. Click Open Category Builder.
  2. On Regex Rules, click + Add rule and fill in Category (e.g. Blog) and Regex (e.g. ^/blog/). Or use Excel Upload.
  3. Click Save. Make sure the method you want shows the Active method badge.

What to check next: if you see "Invalid regular expression", fix the pattern. See Category Builder.

Category Builder upload errors

MessageHow to fix it
"Couldn't read this file — make sure it's a valid .xlsx, .xls or .csv file."Save the file again as .xlsx, .xls or .csv.
"The file has no sheets." / "The file has no data rows."Add your rows to the first sheet.
"Couldn't find the required columns…"Add a URL column (for example "Landing page + query string") and a "Category" column.
"No valid rows found — every row is missing a URL or Category value."Fill in a URL and a Category on each row.

Only the first sheet is read. Re-uploading replaces the whole mapping.

Opportunity Finder needs Search Console

The message is "Connect Search Console to use the Opportunity Finder — it scans Search Console queries and pages."

Why it happens: Opportunity Finder only uses Search Console data.

How to fix it:

  1. Open the Integrations screen.
  2. Connect Google Search Console for this project.

What to check next: if you see "No opportunities found for this range", nothing in the data met the scan's volume limits. Try a longer range. See Opportunity Finder.

"Scan failed"

Anomaly Wizard shows "Scan failed" with "Something went wrong running the scan." Opportunity Finder shows it with "Something went wrong finding opportunities."

Why it happens: The scan could not finish.

How to fix it:

  1. Click Try again.
  2. If it fails again, pick a different date range and run the scan again.

What to check next: changing the date range resets the Anomaly Wizard, so run Run Anomaly Scan again after you change dates. See Anomaly Wizard.

"Start date cannot be greater than end date"

Why it happens: On a rank tracking screen, the Start Date is after the End Date.

How to fix it:

  1. Pick a Start Date that is on or before the End Date.
  2. Or click Reset.

What to check next: only dates with data can be picked.

SERP snapshot errors

When you click a position on the Keywords tab of Google SERP, you may see "No crawl task found for this keyword/date." or "No SERP snapshot available for this keyword/date."

Why it happens: Prism has no saved Google results page for that keyword on that date.

How to fix it:

  1. Pick a different date in the filter bar.
  2. Click the position again.

What to check next: expand the keyword row to see its SERP Preview. See Google SERP.

"Invalid headers" or "You can only upload Excel files!"

You may see:

  • "You can only upload Excel files!" or "Only Excel files (.xlsx, .xls) are accepted"
  • "Invalid headers. Expected exactly: …. Missing: …. Unexpected: …."

Why it happens: Keyword and prompt files must be Excel files. The header row must match exactly, in any order, with nothing missing and nothing extra:

FileHeaders
KeywordsKeywords, Brand, Category, SubCategory
LLM promptsPrompts, Category, SubCategory

How to fix it:

  1. Click Download sample file to get a template.
  2. Copy your data into it without changing the header row.
  3. Save it as .xlsx and upload it again.

What to check next: read the "Missing" and "Unexpected" parts of the message. They name the headers to add or remove. See Keywords and prompts.

Export PDF does nothing

Why it happens: Export PDF opens your browser's print dialog in a new window. Pop-up blockers can stop it without any message. LLM Tool exports also open in a new tab.

How to fix it:

  1. Allow pop-ups for Prism in your browser settings.
  2. Click Export PDF again.
  3. In the print dialog, choose "Save as PDF".

What to check next: see Exporting tables.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I pick some dates on the LLM Tool screens?

Only dates with data can be picked. Other dates show the tooltip No data for this date.

Why does Opportunity Finder ask me to connect Search Console?

Opportunity Finder scans Search Console queries and pages, so it needs Search Console connected for the project.

Why is my keyword file rejected?

Only Excel files are accepted, and the header row must match exactly. Download the sample file to get the right headers.
