Understanding the data
Answer rank
Where a brand appears inside an AI answer — Rank 1 is the first brand named. “Not Ranked” means the brand does not appear.
Appears in: LLM Tool → Brand Visibility
A lower rank number is better. Rank 1 means the brand was named first in the answer.
Example
For example, you pick My Brand and search "pricing". You see six answers. Your brand is Rank 1 on Perplexity but Not Ranked on Gemini for the same prompt. You click View on the Gemini row to read what it said instead. See Reading an AI answer.
Tips
- Sort your work by prompts where you are Not Ranked but a competitor ranks.
- Use the platform filter to focus on one AI tool at a time.
- Check Responses for a yes/no view of mentions and citations.
Common issues
| Message | What to do |
