Understanding the data
AI Visibility
The percentage of tracked prompts where your brand appears in the AI answer.
Appears in: LLM Tool
AI Visibility Share = your visibility ÷ the sum of all tracked brands' visibility.
A citation is a page that an AI answer links to as a source. A mention is when the answer names your brand.
Example
For example, say three brands are tracked. Your visibility is 30%, competitor A has 45% and competitor B has 25%. The total is 100%, so your AI Visibility Share is 30 ÷ 100 = 30%. If competitor A leads the AI Visibility Leaderboard, open Competitors to see where they win.
Tips
- Check the Answer Position Distribution. Being named first in an answer matters more than being named fourth.
- Use the category filter to find topics where you are weak.
- Read a few answers in full. The numbers tell you where; the answer tells you why.
Common issues

Frequently asked questions
How is AI Visibility Share calculated?
It is your visibility divided by the total visibility of all tracked brands, including you. It shows your share against the competitors you track.
Why is the trend chart empty?
The chart needs data from more than one date. It shows No trend data yet until Prism has collected answers on multiple dates.
Can I compare two date ranges?
No. AI Visibility screens show one date at a time. Trends compare that date with the previous date that has data.
