Connect Your Data
Connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 to Prism with read-only access, and learn when your data appears.
3 min read Updated
Prism reads your website data from two Google tools:
- Google Search Console shows how your site does in Google search: clicks, impressions, CTR and position. An impression is one time your page was shown in search results.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) shows what people do on your site: sessions, users, conversions and revenue.
You connect each one on the Integrations screen. This page gives the short version. For full details, see Connect Google Search Console and Connect Google Analytics 4.
Before you start
- Pick the right project in the Current Project switcher. Each connection belongs to one project.
- Use a Google account that can see the Search Console site or the GA4 property.
Connect a Google source
Open Integrations
Click Integrations & MCP in the System group of the left sidebar. You can also click Property settings or Connect on the Analytics (GA4 + GSC) screen.
Click Connect
On the card, click Connect Google Search Console or Connect Google Analytics 4. The button shows Redirecting… and Google opens.
Sign in and allow access
Choose your Google account and allow Prism to view your data. Prism only asks for read-only access.
Pick your site or property
Back in Prism, you see Signed in as and your email. Choose the site or GA4 property for this project. Click Connect site or Connect property.
Wait for the redirect
Prism shows Finishing setup…, then a "connected" message, then Redirecting you back to Prism….
Repeat the steps for the other source.
How to check it worked
On the Integrations screen, the card shows ● Connected, your property name and "synced through" with a date. On the Analytics screen, the connector card shows Connected and Last synced with a date.
When your data appears
- On the first connection, Prism loads up to 180 days of history.
- After that, it syncs every day.
- Data runs through two days ago, because Google needs time to finish its numbers.
- Report date ranges end three days before today, so the newest day you see is complete.
Read the full timing in Data sync schedule.
If something goes wrong
- If you see No Search Console sites were found for this Google account. or No GA4 properties were found for this Google account., you signed in with a Google account that has no access. Try again with another account.
- If a card later shows ⚠ Needs attention, see Reconnect or disconnect.
- For other errors, see Connection issues.
Next step
Your data is on its way. Now take your first steps in Prism.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to connect both Search Console and GA4?
No, but it helps. Advanced Analytics works with at least one connected source. With both, you see clicks and sessions side by side.
How much history does Prism load?
When you first connect, Prism loads up to 180 days of history. After that it syncs every day.
Why don't I see yesterday's numbers?
Google needs time to finish each day's numbers. Prism data runs through two days ago, and report ranges end three days before today.
