What is it?
The SEO Health Score is a number out of 100, shown as a ring at the top of the Category Builder, with a Grade A–F. Next to it, What's happening this period lists short auto-written notes about your site.
Why use it?
- To get one number for the overall SEO health of your site.
- To see if your category setup is complete and clean.
- To track the grade over time.
Before you start
Connect Search Console and GA4, and add rules in the Category Builder.

Understanding the screen
Date range
The score uses a fixed range: the last 28 days (ending three days before today) compared with the previous 28 days. This page has no date picker. See Date ranges and compare.
Grades
| Grade | Score |
|---|---|
| A | 90 or more |
| B | 80 or more |
| C | 70 or more |
| D | 60 or more |
| F | Below 60 |
What's happening this period
Auto-written bullets about site-wide issues. If nothing is flagged, you see No major site-wide issues detected this period.
Understanding the data
The score is made of five parts. Each part is scored, then multiplied by its weight.
| Part | Weight | How it is scored |
|---|---|---|
| Ranking position | 0.30 | Position 1 scores 100, falling in a straight line to 0 at position 50 |
| CTR vs. typical | 0.25 | Your CTR compared with your typical CTR |
| Category coverage | 0.20 | 1 − the Uncategorized share of sessions + clicks |
| No rule conflicts | 0.15 | 100 − 10 for each conflicting URL |
| No orphaned rules | 0.10 | Higher when there are no orphaned rules |
Average position is your average place in Google results, where 1 is the top. A conflicting URL is one that matches more than one Category Builder rule.
Example
For example, two URLs match more than one rule. The No rule conflicts part scores 100 − 20 = 80. It carries a weight of 0.15, so it adds 12 points to your score instead of 15. Fix the rule order in the Category Builder and that part goes back to 100.
Tips
- Add rules until Uncategorized is small. This raises Category coverage.
- Fix every rule conflict. Each one costs 10 points in that part.
- Improve titles and descriptions on quick-win pages to raise CTR vs. typical.
