Data Sync Schedule

When Prism syncs Search Console and GA4, how far back the first load goes, why the newest days lag, and how rank and LLM data refresh.

3 min read Updated

Prism does not show your Google data live. It copies the data from Google on a schedule. This page explains when that happens and why the newest days take a little time to appear.

The first load

When you first connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics 4, Prism loads up to 180 days of history. You can start exploring past trends right away.

The daily sync

After the first load, Prism syncs every day:

SourceDaily sync time
Google Search Consolearound 07:00 IST
Google Analytics 4around 18:46 IST

Prism also checks once whenever its service restarts.

Why the newest days lag

Google needs time to finish each day's numbers. So:

  • Data runs through two days ago (T-2). "T" means today. T-2 is the day before yesterday.
  • Report date ranges end three days before today (T-3). This makes sure the newest day you see is complete.
  • If a recent day comes back empty from Google, Prism retries it for up to 5 more days before treating it as truly empty.

For example, if today is 10 March, synced data runs through 8 March, and a "Last 7 days" report ends on 7 March.

How this affects date pickers

Every date preset is trimmed to the days that have synced. If a preset has no synced data at all, it is disabled and shows No synced data in this range. In the custom calendar, only synced days can be clicked. Learn more in Date ranges and compare.

Rankings and the LLM Tool

Rank tracking (Google SERP, Bing, Play Store, App Store, YouTube) and the LLM Tool work differently. They refresh on the Sync Frequency set for each tracking project: Daily, Weekly or Monthly. You choose it when you set up a project, and you can change it in Project settings.

On these screens, the date pickers only let you pick dates that have data.

How to check your last sync

  • On the Integrations screen, a connected card shows "synced through" with a date.
  • On the Analytics (GA4 + GSC) screen, each connector card shows Last synced with a date, or No syncs yet.

If a card shows ⚠ Needs attention, the last sync failed. See Reconnect or disconnect.

Tips

  • After you first connect, give the first load some time before you judge the numbers.
  • Do not worry if the last two or three days are missing. This is normal.
  • If data looks stuck for longer, see Data issues.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I see yesterday in my reports?

Google needs time to finish each day's numbers. Prism data runs through two days ago, and report ranges end three days before today so the newest day shown is complete.

How much history do I get when I first connect?

Up to 180 days of history from Search Console and Google Analytics 4.

What does No synced data in this range mean?

The date preset has no synced days yet, so Prism disables it. Wait for the sync, or pick a range that has data.

How often do rankings and LLM data refresh?

Each tracking project refreshes on its own frequency: Daily, Weekly or Monthly, as set in Project settings.
