Ranking and AI Exports
Download rank tracking, SERP feature, keyword setting and LLM Tool data, and fix a failed export.
4 min read Updated
What is it?
Rank tracking and the LLM Tool have their own download buttons. Unlike the table exports in Advanced Analytics, most of these files are made on Prism's server. Your browser then downloads them.
This page lists every download on these screens:
- Google SERP, Bing, Google Play Store, Apple App Store and YouTube rankings
- SERP features
- Keyword Setting in the Client panel
- The LLM Tool (AI Visibility) screens
Why use it?
- Send ranking reports to a client or manager.
- Keep a dated copy of where your keywords ranked.
- Work on citation or sentiment data in a spreadsheet.
- Back up or check the keyword list a project tracks.
Before you start
- Pick the right tracking project in the Project dropdown on the screen.
- Set your filters and dates first. Exports use what you have selected.
- Allow pop-ups for Prism. LLM Tool exports open in a new tab.
How to use it
Open the screen
For example, go to Search RankingsGoogle SERP.
Set your filters
Choose the project, Select Brand, Category, Sub Category, Start Date and End Date.
Open the tab you need
Pick Overview, Keywords, SERP Features or SERP Unified.
Click the download button
Click Export, Opportunity, Download Opportunity or Download, depending on the table. Wait for the file to download.
Understanding the screen
Rank tracking keywords
On the Keywords tab of Google SERP and Bing Rankings, you get two buttons:
- Export
- Opportunity
Both files are made on Prism's server. If the server sends nothing back, you see "Export failed: no file was returned."
Group Wise Ranking
The Group Wise Ranking table on each Overview tab has an Excel download. The file name includes your project name:
| Screen | File name |
|---|---|
| Google SERP | group-wise-ranking- + project |
| Bing Rankings | bing-group-wise-ranking- + project |
| Google Play Store and Apple App Store | app-ranking-group-wise-ranking- + project |
| YouTube Ranking | youtube-group-wise-ranking- + project |
On Google SERP, the table shows each rank group by date, with KW (keyword count), SV (search volume) and SOV% (share of voice) for each date. On the other screens it shows keyword counts only.
SERP features
On Google SERP:
- SERP Features tab: the SOV Metrics box has a Download Opportunity button. The feature table below it has an Export button.
- SERP Unified tab: the SERP Feature Matrix has a Download button. This file is made on the server.
A SERP feature is a special result on Google's page, such as a Featured Snippet or People Also Ask.
Keyword Setting
In the Client panel, open Keyword Setting. You can:
- click Export Keywords to download the tracked keywords (for example
google-keywords.xlsx) - click Download current file to get the file you uploaded
- click Download sample file to get a template with the right headers
See Keywords and prompts.
LLM Tool
These LLM Tool tables have an Export button:
| Screen | Table |
|---|---|
| Citations | Top Domains and Detailed Citations |
| Pages Mentioning Me | All Pages Mentioning Me |
| Brand Visibility | The answers table |
| Sentiments | Sentiment Detail — Prompt Level Analysis |
Prism makes the file on its server and opens the download link in a new tab.
Understanding the data
- Rank tracking exports use the project, brand, category and dates you selected.
- LLM Tool exports use the date and filters in the filter bar, such as All Platforms and All Categories.
- LLM Tool screens have no compare period. Each export is for the single date you picked in Select Date.
Example
For example, your manager wants a weekly ranking report. You open Google SERP, pick your project, and set Start Date and End Date to cover the last week. On the Overview tab, you download the Group Wise Ranking Excel file. It shows how many keywords sit in each rank group on each date. You attach the file to your weekly email.
Tips
- Set your filters before you click a download. Changing them later needs a new export.
- Use Download sample file in Keyword Setting before you upload new keywords. Headers must match exactly.
- If an LLM Tool export does not open, check your browser's pop-up blocker first.
Common issues
"Export failed: no file was returned." The server did not return a file. Check that the table has data for your dates, then try again. If it still fails, email support@techmagnate.com.
An LLM Tool export does nothing. Prism shows no message when an LLM export fails. Allow pop-ups for Prism and try again. See Feature issues.
"No ranking data for the selected filters." There is nothing to export. Widen your dates or click Reset.
Frequently asked questions
What does Export failed: no file was returned mean?
Prism's server did not send back a file for that rank tracking export. Check your filters and dates, then try again. If it keeps failing, email support@techmagnate.com.
Where does an LLM Tool export open?

Can I download the keywords a project tracks?
Yes. In the Client panel, open Keyword Setting and click Export Keywords.
