What is it?
The Google SERP screen tracks where your keywords rank on Google. SERP means search engine results page. The screen has four tabs: Overview, Keywords, SERP Features and SERP Unified. This guide covers the filter bar, Overview and Keywords. The other two tabs are in SERP features.
Why use it?
- To see how many keywords improved, dropped or were lost.
- To watch your average position over time.
- To check your share of voice by ranking group.
- To see the real Google page for a keyword on a given date.
Before you start

Group Wise Ranking
A table of rank groups by date. For each date it shows KW (keyword count), SV (search volume) and SOV% (share of voice). Use its Excel download to save it as group-wise-ranking-{project}.xlsx (with your project name in place of {project}).
Keywords tab

- Click a position (hover: View live SERP snapshot) to open the saved Google results page for that keyword and date.
- Click a row to expand the SERP Preview, with Ranking URL: and SERP Features:.
- Export downloads the keyword list. Opportunity downloads an opportunity file. Both are made on the server.
Understanding the data
Average position
Your average place in Google results. Position 1 is the top result, so lower is better. Prism weights the average by impressions, so queries that are seen more count more.
Example: A page at position 3 for a query with 1,000 impressions counts ten times more than position 20 for a query with 100.
Appears in: Analytics, Advanced Analytics
Features coverage
The percentage of SERP features that your domain owns, out of the features that appear for your keywords.
Appears in: Google SERP → Overview
AI Overview coverage
The percentage of your keywords whose Google results show an AI-generated summary (AI Overview).
Appears in: Google SERP → Overview
Features Coverage = owned features ÷ feature opportunities.
Example
For example, you pick 1 to 30 September. The chip shows Comparing 29 Sep → 30 Sep. All Keywords is 200, Improved 35, Dropped 20 and Lost 4. In Ranking Trend, the Top 6-10 bar grows while > 10 shrinks. You open Keywords, click Trending Down, and check each keyword's SERP Preview to see which URL now ranks.
Tips
- Use Trending Down each week to catch drops early.
- Compare SV and SOV% in Group Wise Ranking. A few high-volume keywords in Top 1 can matter more than many low-volume ones.
- See Ranking and AI exports for download details.
